Bama vs Tennessee

I know ya'll don't give 2 shits and can of shit about this game. But this is the game where Alabama can get it's mojo back. (Same can be said where they can ruin their season.)

Few things from the Bama side:
Pressuring Nico is going to be massive, Nico has struggled when the pocket has started to shrink, He doesn't keep his feet moving in sync with his eyes. He gets off platform and it causes either miss throws or he just doesn't throw it at all and takes a sack he shouldn't. (Bama blitzes on only 9 percent of plays but is among the top in the country in pressures.)

Driving the ball is going to be important, and it doesn't mean they have to score on every drive. Bama this year on offense have done 1 of 2 things. Score or they get to punt very quickly giving the defense very little time to rest. The value of just 1 or 2 first down even without points can't be talked about enough with Alabama.

Making YOUR PLAY seems pretty simple, But this year the defense just has been so inconsistent in this area of defense. Kane does deserve some blame yes, But the players are not doing him any favors. Costly penalties at bad times or just simply not making the tackle when it's their to be made, or even worse get dragged for a extra 3-5 yards because you're either attacking to high or you're trying to force a turnover when you need to be worried about just making the tackle.

For Tennessee:
Their tackles have been a mess this year specifically the LT. He is going to be going against LT Overton whose among the top 5 in pressures. Lance is going to have to have the game of the year for himself in order to give Nico time.

Tennessee defense is slated as one of the best in the country but they have yet to face any offense that resembles a pulse. Is the defense real or were they just that good because of the talent they played against.

And lastly can Josh get out of his own head, It seems from the Arkansas game to now he has been real inconsistent with his playcalling. He has also not really helped his LT out with chips or just an extra blocker by sliding protection to help him out.

Stat that is interesting. Kalen is 13-2 against top 25 teams in his career dating back to his time at Fresno State. Seems like in games like this he wakes up.

Quinshon Judkins

Take this FWIW - But the source is well connected.

Quinshon has had a hand injury that is far more serious than Ryan lead on to, and the surgery was not some minor surgery. In my experience if they cut you, it’s 4-6 weeks. The players are saying he’s not playing against Nebraska (and probably out a month or so). This is reminiscent of Miyan Williams being “week to week” but in reality had a fucking torn MCL. He is expected to return later in the season but he fumbled that ball because his hand was fucked up.

Like I said… take it FWIW.
Hope he gets better. He's a dynamic player.

By definition, did Oregon cheat by intentionally putting 12 on the field? I understand “the rule”. However, does intent in your opinion, play any role in determining if simply breaking a rule is actually cheating. If you knowingly & willingly break a rule “to act dishonest or unfairly(12 men) in order to gain an advantage”. Would love the army’s opinion. Based on definition & opinion I’m highly curious what people consider cheating?…
Yes. I’d say it’s cheating BUT…. They paid the penalty. 5 yards. A lot can be said but ultimately I blame the stupid motherfuckers that wrote and voted to approve the rule. I’m sure everyone here has made an important life choice. When deciding what to do we think of all of the outcomes each choice leads to. That’s what adults do. I don’t understand how a room full of people approved this rule with considering the obvious flaw that provides INCENTIVE to break the rule in a situation that is COMMON at the end of a football game.

The NCAA might actually be worse than the federal government. Complete incompetent and doesn’t give a fuck.

Coach's Film Room - WEEK SEVEN!!

It was tremendous to watch Paris Shand, #0, get his flowers on your film breakdown. He moved from DE to DT this year, as I predicted he would, and has provided a lot of help.
Also, is #4, Bradyn Swinson, a player, or what? Good grief, he's been great for us this year.
I know that you loved Harold Perkins, but he was a player without a position. He was a liability vs anyone trying to block him, and constantly missed his run fits. All he could do was blitz, or play spy. They couldn't figure him out, and it was hurting our defense. I think he has a low football IQ. I hate that he got hurt, but it has helped the Tigers get better.
Major Burns, #8, has improved more than any player on the defense. He had some really good pass defenses, and he's always been good off the edge and blitzing. It's great to see him no longer be the fish.

Coach's Film Room - WEEK SEVEN!!

You mentioned Whit Weeks being the weakness of the Tigers' defense. He was player of the week.
However, I'm with you in that he has missed some fits. BTW, he's a true sophomore and is already the captain of the D
Early in the film I did... and later corrected myself. He was balling!

Wednesday's Show 10/9/2024

CliffsNotes from yesterday's show.

A good show as always, boys!

1. Connor Stallions is a psychopath.

2. Oregon is pumping sound into the Autzen Pringle Chip.

3. Bill Clinton > Bill Levis > Bill Cosby. The first two had consensual relations.

4. #KrisThinksKidsAreEasyToDraw.

5. Nothing grows on Kris Drew quite like a tumor. #KrisLovesCancer

6. Kris shared a Lifetime Movie plot in which a veteran stomped his ass in basketball daily while possibly drunk, paid him for it, then almost set up a death match with a skunk in a garage. #KrisVsSkunk #BetterGroomingThanManscaped

A good show, glad I could help. See you tomorrow Menace Army! Save me a damn seat, I'm driving 3+ hours!
