Kind of wild how little we played them this century, but every game has had some unforgettable moments.
2022 - the long awaited revenge game, not much to remember other than CJ going nuclear.
2017 - don’t know what’s more memorable, Bosas bullshit targeting call, JTs 4 picks, or waving to a bunch of cancer kids. Man, Iowa has some psy-op shit for real, come out of the pink locker room the. stop trying to kill these guys so you can wave to seriously sick kids.
2013 - The Rubber-Band Man himself “El Guapo” Carlos Hyde bounces off Iowa’s white (probably) LBer and scores a late tuddy, Iowa gave us everything they had, Roby got tossed early for targeting and Iowa QB Jake Rudock hit Jake Duzey for an 85-yard TD, tying the game in the 4th, but Hyde’s run and a late FG iced it.
2010 - TP lead a game winning drive late against a loaded team, converting a key 4th and 10 with his legs to keep the drive alive. Ricky Stanzi at QB, Marcus Coker at RB, Marvin McNutt and Derrell Johnson-Koulianos at WR, Allen Riesner at TE, Riley Rieff at OT, Adrian Clayborne, Tyler Sash, and Micah Hyde. Set OSU up for a share of the B1G Championship.
2009 - GW walk-off FG in OT in the Shoe for the B1G Outright, big games from Saine, Boom, and TP running it out of the Wild Buck (Cat) offense. Pretty much the same Iowa team. Saine broke a 49 yard TD run late and DJK had a 99 yard KO TD the next play. James Vandenberg got his first start for the injured Stanzi and nearly pulled off the upset.
2006 - Went in to Iowa City in Prime Time, “The Black Out”, and Troy and Gonzo lit that shit up. Pittman had a nice day but Gonzo had a crazy catch and run and had 2 TDs on the day.
2005 - Chad Greenway and Abdul Hodge vs AJ Hawk and Bobby Carpenter. Carpenter sacked Drew Tate and that little hot head threw an absolute temper tantrum, still laughed about to this day. The 31-3 revenge game for the 33-7 pounding the year before.
2004 - worst loss in the JT era to that point, but it spurred some necessary changes. Troy took over, Gonzo made his first catch, and Lydell started passing fake money at Columbus Gold.
2003 - big game in the race for the Big Ten Championship and followed the ‘02 season when the two teams both went undefeated in B1G play. Michael Jenkins had a PR for a TD in a typical close game that was the weekly norm back then. Kids nowadays couldn’t handle the anxiety Tress put us through every week. Good guys won another close one.
