Cleveland Browns Off Season

The Browns shouldn't even think about drafting Milroe; he doesn't fit the system that Stefanski has. It would be like fitting a square peg in a round hole. Stefanski needs a QB who is on time and excels in play-action, case in point, Joe Flacco. I think a QB who would be a perfect fit in Stefanski's system is Drew Allar. Fingers crossed that can happen, which means the Browns just need a bridge QB for 2-3 years. I wouldn't be upset with the Browns signing Kirk Cousin if that's what needs to happen.

As for the defense, I am leaning more towards the Browns drafting Abdul Carter because lining him up opposite Myles Garrett would be something to see. Myles hasn't had a quality DE line up opposite him his whole career, so I wonder what kind of stats he would be able to put up with Abdul opposite him.

New Year's Resolution

I enjoy reading anything and here are some examples of books that I have read:
- The Compound Effect by Darren Hardy
- The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle
- 101 Essays that will change the way you think by Brianna West
- Can't hurt me by David Goggins

I work for an Accounting Firm and recently transferred within the firm from Tax to Business Consulting.

1.) Thinking Fast and Slow by Daniel Kahneman. He is an economist but this book is really interesting in explaining why we make certain decisions and how to avoid pitfalls.

2.) Do Hard Things by Steve Magness. I will be reading this soon. Reviews are good. Seems to be a pragmatic look at resilience and perseverance, both mental and physical.

3.) Stillness is the Key by Ryan Holiday. Most of his books seem to be well regarded. This one seems like one I need to read. I am a nurse practitioner in general and interventional cardiology (primarily), and by the end of the day I am tired of making decisions. Seems like this book might help with analysis paralysis…

I previously read How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie, and On Symbols and Society by Kenneth Burke. Both are good if you are working on becoming more persuasive or interested in interpersonal communication/psychology.

I want to read Can’t Hurt Me by Goggins, I hear it is good. Eventually I want to read The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fuck by Mark Manson and 12 Rules for Life by Peterson.

Was 101 Essays by West good?

Jaden Rashada Saga

It really is a shame what happened with Rashada. You get the impression that someone like this kid was given incredible longitude on most things in life because of his athletic prowess. Like you said, an adult failed him when they didn't sit down with him and find a system that would benefit him.

As a top 5ish QB in the nation as a recruit, you have to think that this kid could have been a second or third year starter with real potential to make it to the NFL.

And through all of this, no one apparently told him that each time he transfers he will be low man on the totem pole, and have to start from square one, relearning an offense and proving himself...

Rose Bowl Breakdown

FuckTTUN,

I got the impression while watching the game live that Oregon putting together a drive and scoring just before the half, and again in the third quarter seemed to take the wind out of our sails.

I get just as irritated as the next guy about letting our foot off of the gas, but I feel like there was a big shift in momentum, and our defense played well despite not getting a lot of help from the offense putting together long drives. What do you think?

We will see what coach Zach has to say too...
That’s a valid explanation, I’m just trying to silence any doubts in my mind when it comes to that game

Cleveland Browns Off Season

Haven't been terribly impressed with the QBs coming out this year. You have to have your balls screwed on pretty tight to think you'll be the guy that makes Milroe a consistent player against far better talent, all of a sudden, after several years of him being stagnant in growth.

I hope the Browns can put something together, although if you could leave a defensive savior on the board for the Bengals, it would be appreciated.

While I'm not a diehard NFL fan, I enjoy seing the Bengals play well. I have a good friend at work, a cardiologist who has had box seats in Cincinnati since the early 90s.

I didn't know how to tell him nicely that when they let go of their two pro bowl potential safeties and decided Dax Hill would save their day, I knew they were fucked. It's fuck Dax Hill forever...

Rose Bowl Breakdown

I’m excited to see this breakdown of the Rose Bowl, but I can’t help but ask: do you worry about what happened in the second half? It felt like Ryan let Oregon come back a bit too much, and it worries me ahead of Texas.

Jaden Rashada Saga

Here is a timeline of Jaden Rashada per 247sports.com (link: https://247sports.com/article/jaden...entry-at-georgia-adds-more-twists--243621718/)

June 26, 2022 - Commits to Miami
Nov. 10, 2022 - Flips to Florida
Dec. 21, 2022 - Signs with Florida
Jan. 20, 2023 - Asks of LOI with Florida
Feb 2, 2023 - Signs with ASU
April 18-25, 2024 - Enters Transfer Portal and transfer to UGA
May 21, 2024 - Sues Bily Napier
Jan 5, 2025 - Leaves UGA to enter Transfer Portal

At this point in time, I feel bad for the kid and am disappointed in the adults involved in his life. I hope he goes to a school where he can solely focus on football and not worry about money or anything else. It's his lack of focus on football that has led him down the path of being at three schools in two years, soon to be four.
