2024 Ohio State Predictions
Quinshon and Trey will combine for 2,300 Total Yards.
For me, it is a simple equation. The RB Unit is the best unit on the team. Will Howard is not CJ Stroud. Chip Kelly is also the OC. Those three things mean lots of running and check downs. Not to mention, Ryan has always gone to whatever his offense does best when the game starts to feel uncomfortable. This season, it’s the running game.
The LB’s will be the second-best unit on the defense.
The secondary is absolutely BIA, but with the addition of Sonny Styles to that room and a supposedly “more athletic than we were told for the last 4 years” Cody Simon now in a starting role, I think the LB’s will surprise us. The DL is a very good unit, but I still don’t see the sack numbers rising enough to outshine the LB’s.
Emeka to lead the WR’s in yards and Jeremiah to lead in TD’s.
Ryan loves the slot, like a lot. Jeremiah is going to live up to the hype with 8 TD’s.
Will Howard won’t start every game.
For whatever reason you want to think, Will Howard will not start every game this season. It has been a long time since Ohio State has started multiple QBs in a season, but this season, it will happen. Kyle McCord started a random game in 2021 for CJ and then in 2015, Urban was unable to make a decision between Cardale and JT.
This will be the best defense in Ohio State history.
They will have the stats to back it up, the look to pass it up and the trophies to go with it.
Ohio State beats Michigan by a lot.
Ryan Day has shown himself to be angry, calculated and motivated this off season. More so than ever before, probably because his job is officially on the line. But more importantly, the players want it more, at least I think. Ohio State sends Michigan into hell with a beatdown of epic proportions and all of their scandal punishments.
