One of the main discussion points on the show yesterday was the adjustment in style from the PAC-12 to the Big Ten for the four newcomers in 2024.

As to be expected, the offensive numbers for the PAC-12 stood out big time from a year ago, with ALL FOUR newcomers averaging more yards per game on offense than every other Big Ten team. Even the Chip Kelly led UCLA Bruins. The RZ scoring % from the four PAC-12 teams is something to monitor as they get adjusted to the Big Ten style of play. With the field shrinking in the RZ, one could argue the inability to run the football could lead to even more stalled out drives against tougher defenses in the B1G.

The defensive side of the ball for the newcomers will be worth watching against slower tempo offenses. Can these PAC-12 style defenses, who are used to being on the field less with the fast paced play calling, adjust to a physical/rush dominant style of offense that, in the case of the top dogs in Ohio State, Michigan and Penn State, thrives on wearing down their opponents in the trenches as the game drags on?

These are the two big storylines to follow as the in-conference season begins and these west coast teams travel on the road to the midwest.

I’m a Colonel member and was able to watch the film breakdowns up until yesterday. Now can’t access any of them despite being the appropriate tier. Anyone else having this issue?

Couple things!
On the WR front Brandon Inniss and Emeka really had good days. Both catching multiple touchdowns all from Devin Brown and Will Howard who got most of the work. Down the stretch a few people I talked to all had the same things to say. Offense really had thing going well and strung together some scoring drives. One offensive player i talked to said "yeah Coach Kelly was so deep in his fucking bag"

I don't think that Will was good enough or that much better than Devin to be named the starter Monday but I still think its a possibility to avoid the drama like we saw last year.
Top 3 throws of the day. A long TD to BI from Devin, a fade ball to EE from Will, and a seam ball thrown to BI also for a TD.

This comp is pulling out the best in both of them. Several people I have talked to have all said its really unreal the growth Will has gone from the end of spring till now.

There was also a good battle between Bryce west and JJ during 7s periods. Really cool to hear that he isn't backing down from anyone. Sounds like JJ didn't play in the scrimmage i guess we can call it some form of load management.

Again i wasn't there but these are all things i have heard from those who i talked with

Now that the update is out we are moving forward with the PS5 league.
