David Sanders

Hi gang. Im back from my little long weekend vaca and ready to get back into things. I know David Sanders has a date set and i really really like where OSU stands. If it was today id have the buckeyes down in pen or maybe even sharpie. I talked to enough recruits, parents and coaches and they are all giving me similar thoughts and info when it comes to him. If you haven't watched his tape in an attempt not to get you hopes up i think you should. Now definitely some time and we have seen how quickly things have changed (Justin Hill).

The combo of Justin seemingly having a ton of urgency with David and a chance to bring in a "signature recruit" paired with the chance to play early out of need and the kid is talented enough to where you will absolutely want that. (like proctor at Bama). Ryan and TSC have also been so so key in this. This group of 2025 parents and players recruiting as hard as they have are a big reason why this will be the number 1 or 2 class. shout out to the Sanchez family :)

Pettijohn BOOOM!

Things to do:

Don’t waste another 5 star linebacker.
Yeah they need to fix what we have going on as far as that goes. We have some great lbs in this class, they need reps when we get up big. It's time to change our old ways.

Another note, Sanders commits in mid August. We need to land that kid. My understanding is that we've been the favorite since his last trip to Columbus. We need to keep him in that mindset, don't get outbid for him in the end...

Under the radar breakouts

At this point I say we just change Fitzpatrick’s number.

I’m out on the Gee Scott train. Thurman needs another year, Kacmarek isn’t it from all reports.

Patrick Gurd is our only saving grace in that room for this year.
Yeah I hope 1 of them proves us wrong though.

I'd like to see 1 of the TEs step up since that position is a question mark. Doesn't really matter who, would just like 1 of the TEs to step up and be a factor.

There’s not a slither of a chance, right?

I'm not concerned about us losing the top WRs as we are well stocked enough to survive a lesser class of WRs due to Hartline dominance previously.

It was bound to happen anyways as we stockpile 5 stars guys aren't going to see early playing time which can be a turn off.

We do need to beat the crap out of Oregon to show especially Ohio kids that Ohio state is still king.
I agree, you’re not going to win every year at a skill position.

This WR class is weirder than most. DK is by far the best then you have a large group of second tier receivers. We did well this class, Jones probably should be a high four star, Porter is a borderline 5* and BP killer could be a massive hidden gem.

Defenders of Justin Frye arise!

I love this. Mainly because he is a friend, but also because I agree! That being said, knowing Justin as well as I do... he's too young and charismatic to not be an Ace Recruiter. I hold zero punches with strangers or friends. He is a phenomenal line coach but I think he can (and hopefully will) elevate in recruiting. Go get a few five stars in a class, go land a few national elites... Become the Hartline of OL Coaches!

Oregon keeps beating us out on recruits and to beat us out on a WR... that's a big concern. Hartline rarely if ever loses top WRs. Ryan Day better beat the breaks off Oregon this year or the trend is heading towards Oregon being the king of the Big 10. I want them to destroy Oregon and show those recruits, they made a mistake choosing Oregon over Ohio State. It will help future recruiting.

Ultimately the kids are going to go live in Eugene…. Im pretty sure you have to walk or hitch hike the last 120 miles to get there.
While I do not think it’s the same as in the past I have yet to see an Oregon team that would be able to compete outside of the Pac16-14=2. I’m not saying Lanning isn’t the guy but I truly need to see it.

This is as formidable as I have ever seen Oregon recruiting. I figure that if we can't out-recruit them, we will either need to develop our players more...

Or we can develop a system of advance scouting in which we leave our phones and wallets at home and bicycle to Oregon football games avoiding roads with speed cameras.

Of course, we would need our family to move our cars and phones periodically, and we would need to intercept helmet transmissions...

Thoughts?
Also will need folks to make purchases with bank cards. Preferably non retail stores, gas stations to avoid CCTV footage. Food trucks would be the least detectable and most discrete.

They use AT&T coms I’m pretty sure. If we can get a photo match of the model they use on the sideline. We can better understand which band the communications are under.
