I wanted to start this off with that I am getting excited about the Defensive Line! I can’t believe I’m saying this but LJ seems young, rejuvenated and locked in, considering the slander him and his room as a whole have taken the last couple years. This year could be really special for this group and be another strength of the defense, he talked a lot about Coverage + Rush working together and how the guys on backend could give his group more time to be “Violent and Disruptive” a common phrase every DL used in there interviews . I think this could be becsuse of having an Assistant DL Coach LaAllen Clark and he’s really great coach. A couple things he said that stood out to me as well the rest of DL room: - Mitch Melton pass rush style is playing basketball on grass said he has a crossover that just gets him in backfield so damn quick. LJ said they gonna use him and allow him to freelance put him in positions to win not just off the edge, but straight at the nose guard. I’m not gonna they using him as a Jack but Larry said “we going to have some fun with him” - Says he has 5-6 guys deep when it comes to DL room says 5 for sure 6 guy can slide outside or inside. Says Kayden McDonald is in better shape, weight is managed, stronger, his athleticism is showing off. Says he gonna play and he’s excited for him. - He said something about 25 snaps I think he was talking about each DL getting 25 snaps a game maybe? I could be wrong, thought that was interesting though - Caden Curry said collectively he can tell the OL room is stronger they are playing more together as a unit. Said they are working extremely hard and really getting after it. Also said we are all playing at our most violent level and fastest with the rotation they have. - Ty Hamilton said he calls him an Tyliek TNT Bros. Said when facing Tegra Tshabola it’s hard to move him he’s 6’6 330 and he’s a good player. - Tyliek Williams said Kayden Hero Jason had a great camp and we gonna need them all. He said Kayden is Lil Bro because we both big explosive and play same position. Says Seth McGlaughlin knows what he’s doing definitely done a great job leading that group. Says again Mitch Melton playing basketball on grass. Says they gonna be the most disruptive unit in country. Go Buckeyes Fuck TTUN
