Ryan Day is Soft

The softness in our program starts and stops with Ryan Day. It is not the program, the assistant coaches, or the players who are soft—it's Ryan Day. His insecurities about being labeled as soft have infiltrated every part of this program. If he were truly tough, he wouldn't care about the opinions of other teams or coaches. He would have blocked out the noise and focused solely on the program's mission: beating TTUN every year, winning the B1G, and winning National Championships by doing what he, his coaches, and players do best. Instead, he has made it his mission to prove to others that he is not soft. This misguided focus has led to four straight losses to TTUN and no chances at winning the B1G championship. Prior to this loss, I really thought our players and teams were soft, but it was Day being soft the whole time. The way he acted when the fighting was going on and how he just stood there proves he is the reason our teams and program are considered soft.
