Crazy Busy Day. Got some evening thoughts for those who care. What’s the price tag on making the world feel something? How much to say boys on the track? What if I never had that idea? Got the Guardians game on right now—bottom of the 7th, they’re down 7-3 to the Rangers (shoutout Ben). Scorpion is playing (top 5 album all-time, by the way), and I’ve got a ginger tea in hand. Body’s pretty beat up from the gym, but despite being exhausted, I’m feeling super happy. Little brother is nervous about baseball and not being good, so all he wants to do is play catch. Fascinating how currency for kids is simply being good at something. Somewhere along the way, that turns into fitting in being the currency socially, and money deciding who you need to fit in with. Bothersome, honestly… but anyway. I’ve got Sam Greer as a Buckeye, and I’ve got it stamped. Shoutout Akron. I wouldn’t be mad if this OSU O-line class was 100% regional. We never needed to go national for offensive linemen. The talent has always been here. I mean, how many times did we see Tress field a really good O-line? Wisconsin never went national. Notre Dame’s O-line was built the same way. We have it up north, and there’s something extra about a group of Ohio boys on that line. At least, that’s how I feel personally. Sam is a dude—long arms, really strong, and it sounds like his visit went really, really well. Like a former tackle we had here, he’s also a damn good basketball player. They asked him to do a lot really early. As a true freshman, he matched up against and locked down Devin Royal (OSU basketball player) on the way to the state championship. TSC—word is, he’s putting in a ton of extra work. Sounds like he’s spending the most time with Coach Fess. From what I’m hearing, he’s got a puncher’s chance. He just has to connect when that chance is in front of him. Physically, he’s there. He’s got the leadership qualities and the aura—if you care about that kind of thing. If he played big-time high school ball, he’d probably be further along. But he made his decision, bet on himself, and stayed home knowing exactly what the room would look like and what the challenge would be. I expect it to be Sayin, but whenever I ask around, I always listen for the TSC nuggets… Quick Thoughts: • MLB should have better ratings than the NBA. • Everyone should work outside at least once a week if the weather’s nice. • KFC’s chicken sandwich is super underrated. • Apple pie is super overrated. • My least favorite thing about March Madness is listening to people explain why they made each pick in their bracket.
